Key requirements are over 10 years hands on design experience, with solid knowledge of hardware design, embedded software design and printed circuit board layout. Must also have strong leadership skills and a dynamic personality.

30/4/2012 - Design re-use. A key factor for Microdex maintaining a high level of productivity is managing to re-use existing electronic design modules and also embedded software functions. With Altium Designer electronic circuit re-use is aided with making the most of Altiums snippets. You can even tag a PCB layout area with a part of schematic - like a DC-DC convertor design, or Ethernet port interface - that way you don't even need to do the layout again. Pretty cool. Embedded software development is just the same, you may move to different processor for a particular design but if your high level 'C' well structure it will port across wihtout any real hassle. The worst case is really updating the processor specific stuff like register configuration - most of which you should have already put in seperate function calls. Don't keep re-inventing the wheel concentrate on the new features!

A very impressive factory set up with the latest assembly equipment. MPE will now be our first recommendation to our clients as they move there products to production.
